TITULIA CITY | Newly-elected President Gregory Hock (LN) sent out an acceptance speech to everyone:
Liberty House, Titulia City: 8:00 p.m. EST:
It is with great humility and gratitude that I address you as the new President of the Republic. I first want to acknowledge my opponent, Alex Pijanowski. He has served Titulia with honor time and again. I look forward to working with him as my Vice President. My asking him to serve as VP is not a symbolic gesture, but rather a sign of bipartisanship that I want to exist during my Presidency. I ask Alex to bring to his office the initiatives and passion he had as a Presidential candidate.
I must take a chance to thank those who have made this possible. I’d like to thank the Linardist party for their support and welcoming me as a citizen. William Money was kind and generous when I was considering and then joined the party. I also want to acknowledge MC Daddy D for his support and guidance when I needed it. Two great guys that I owe thanks.
I would not have even been a candidate without JP’s nomination. As a former RNC member, I respect all that he has done, and am grateful for his consideration. There are countless people along the way that supported me, and eventually voted for me. I especially want to thank Vice President TJ Norton for his endorsement and support.
When I look at the length of the Presidential term of 28 days, I am reminded that that is the time span needed for the moon to orbit the earth. As humans looked skyward some forty years ago, a US President made a pledge that before that decade was over, a man should walk on the moon. From that, people from all backgrounds came together to achieve that ambitious goal. I realize we are not creating an Apollo program here in Titulia, but it is a good story to keep in mind. There are many things to do. I have ideas to make Titulia better, but more importantly, I need your ideas and your activity to make this work. You will see that my administration will be made up of citizens from many parties as well as independents. It is my desire to bring back respect and dignity to Liberty House. I ask future members of the executive branch to also do the same. I am not saying we cannot disagree…that would be foolish to ask. I ask myself and others to use civility when we express our thoughts and feelings to others, and to not let politics stear our voice or actions. One of the first things I said when I was a candidate was that I am honest and sincere, and I hope that is reflected in my presidency. I look forward to working with all of you. Until the moon comes around again, we have work to do. I welcome your ideas, effort, and whatever else you as an individual can bring to Titulia.
Thank you.
Greg
Vice President-Elect Alex Pijanowski (L) also posted a concession speech after losing the Presidency by a small margin:
As the election has come to a close, I would like to first congratulate our new chief executive, Mr. Gregory Hock, on a well-fought campaign and a well-earned victory. While a failed campaign for the republic's highest office always affords some disappointment, I am glad for Greg and I believe in his ability to lead us forward out of these dark times.
Secondly, I will wholeheartedly accept Gregory's offer to serve as Vice President. Much as Thomas Jefferson, whom I greatly admire, did, I will serve in this stead despite our disparity in political affiliations so that the best interests of Titulia may be served. I hope that my experience in the office will allow me to advise Greg every step along the way so that he will make the best decision for Titulia.
The past administration has been rocky at best. However, I am confident that with the right leadership we can shed the bonds of division and discord that have hindered our republic in the past month. Unite and conquer!
- Alex Pijanowski, President of the Libertarian Party and former President of the Republic
Pijanowski Vice-Presidential Nominee Julian (PFP) gave the following statement to TC:
I congratulated President-Elect Gregory Hock via Titulia Mail and wished him the best. I also gave him my full support for this republic’s future. I hope his administration is successful.
