USA/ Conan O’Brien ends run on Tonight Show

Conan O'Brien, who left the "Tonight Show" on Friday, says he remains optimistic about his future.

LOS ANGELES – Conan O’Brien’s 7-month run on NBC’s The Tonight Show ended today after negotiations to bring former host Jay Leno back to the show were complete. NBC and O’Brien signed an agreement, which would give O’Brien and his staff millions. The only requirement is that O’Brien may not host a show until September. This is partly in response to rumors that FOX has made an offer to Conan O’Brien. Will Ferrell, Steve Carrell, Neil Young, and Tom Hanks all made guest appearances on the final show.
