
BANGKOK (TNCweb) | Anti-government protests have gotten violent as many demand for a new parliamentary election. The protesters, known as redshirts seek to reinstate Former PM Thaksin Shinawatra, who was ousted by the military. Today,15 have been killed and 650+ have been injured. Current PM Abhisit Vejjajiva has given condolences to the protesters’ families, but will not bow down to protesters’ demands. The protesters have occupied Bangkok’s central districts and tourists have been effected by them. Many reporters have had to flee the country.
